Many business websites were built on heavy multipurpose themes such as The7, or with page builders such as WPBakery and Elementor. They worked when they were built, but over time they become slow, hard to edit and difficult to update safely.

We migrate these sites to a lean custom theme:

1. Audit of the current theme, plugins, content, URLs and hosting.
2. Content transfer without the builder’s shortcodes and nested layers.
3. URL preservation and redirects, so search signals are protected.
4. Plugin cleanup, replacing several plugins with a few lines of focused code where it makes sense.
5. MESH for WordPress for fast delivery, and Szef Editor for easy editing.

🔒 Security hardening: lean by design

Every plugin is code that must be updated and another possible door for attackers. A typical slow WordPress site runs dozens of them. Our WordPress runs one theme of our own and three plugins: Szef Editor, Szef Connect and a security firewall.

For client sites, hardening means removing unused plugins and themes, locking down administrator access, keeping WordPress and its components updated, and serving static HTML to visitors so there is far less code exposed at request time. Less code means fewer ways in.

Security also depends on what happens after launch. Plugins and themes that nobody updates become a common way into WordPress sites, and abandoned plugins stay vulnerable forever. That is one more reason we replace plugins with small pieces of focused code where it makes sense: code we wrote, understand and maintain ourselves.
